Aaron’s Senior Session

After worrying all week about the predicted rain for today, we lucked out with an overcast sky.  Perfect.  The weather cooperated for this chilly session after all.  I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful family a few years ago when I did their oldest son’s senior session, and I was thrilled to photograph their youngest son’s senior pictures as well.  I love being able to hold a session at a location special to a family, so using their own yard worked out perfect for today.  Thanks guys, for a fun afternoon.

Summertime Mini Moore

My last session of the night was my youngest niece Riley.  Love this little peanut  She was the perfect model last night, she sat there, looked around and smiled, the entire time.  No fussing, no moving, just smiles.

The rocking chair we used for the session is very special to them.  I was given to my sister in law by her grandma when she was little.  It was stolen from her storage unit, and recovered years later from a consignment shop.  Happy we were able to use it for Riley’s pictures, and that she will have it to use now.  If Riley is anything like my daughter (her cousin), it will get a lot of use rocking fussy baby dolls.

  1. Beckie King says: Riley is the most adorable little baby girl - she looks angelic. She looks so much like her parents (good thing). The photos are a work of art. on 07.16.13 @ 1:32 pm

  2. Kelly Moore says: Thank you Beckie!! Miss you! on 07.17.13 @ 12:50 am

Summertime Mini x 2

This is also the third session for these handsome boys.  Had my children been present, they would have interfered greatly, as these are a few of their favorite boys.  We had the pleasure of bumping in to them at the county fair last week.  It involved lots of running around and wrestling.  Our session was much calmer, well as calm as you can get with active boys . . .

Summer Mini with the Mayville’s

My intention was do to one mini session sneak peek with an image for each family, however that quickly ended as I started looking through the images from last night’s sessions.  I can’t possibly pick just one for each family.  Instead, each family is now getting their own post.

My favorite part of last nights sessions, is that this is the third session, for two of my client’s.  I have done newborn photos of both of these darling girls over the years, and I won’t even tell you know long my husband and I have known their daddy. We’re going back to the single digits folks.

Love watching these two grow, and I tried to capture a little bit of who they are today.  Because it does not last long.

Happy First Elin

My little niece Elin turned one this month, and we celebrated her birthday day with a smash the cake session.  Except for the fact that no cake was smashed.  Poor peanut was not feeling well.  Thank goodness my sister in law prepared ahead of time, she knew what she wanted, and we were able to get a lot of pictures done in a short amount of time. Happy Birthday baby girl, we love you!

The outtakes were just as cute.  And Hallmark just so happened to have a baby card contest going on, so I entered her.  Let’s hope we have another Hallmark card on the way soon.  I would love to see Elin’s face in stores :)

Lucky Number 7

I adore all my nieces and nephews, so of course I was super excited to welcome #7, and equally as disappointed that I could not visit her right away due to the plague that kept us quarantined for almost 2 weeks.

Today was my lucky day, and I could have held this little peanut all day long. But then my husband called, and he had to go to work, and I had to go home.

But I could have held her all day long.  All day.

She is such a little doll, and she fits right in to the palm of your hand.  Skin so soft.  Complexion so smooth.  I love her.

World meet Riley, Riley meet the world.

Sneak Peek for Miss Paige

This little darling did not want to fall asleep for quite some time.  All in all though, it ended up working well for us.  As I was able to sneak a few pictures when she was awake, and when she finally went to sleep, she was out.  3 years ago I photographed her big sister, as a newborn.  Looking at these itty bitty babies, I am always reminded of how fast they grow.  A few weeks in our life, not much changes, in the life of a baby, they are an entirely new little person.  Just when you get them figured out, they grow, and change.  One of the reasons I love photography so much, you get to freeze those little moments.

Round Two

By popular demand, I am now officially adding in one more day for fall mini sessions.

Saturday October 20th.  That’s it.  The only opening I have in October.  At all.

There will be two different options to choose from.

I will be at Millpond park in Fenton until 11am, and then at McFarlan Library in Grand Blanc.

Millpond park  offers a more urban setting, brick buildings,  a nice gazebo, and downtown buildings easily accessible as well for us to shoot in front of.

McFarlan Library offers a session with more of a fall theme.  Trees and leaves everywhere, a small old bridge that makes a nice background, endless trails and paths, and an open parking lot backing up to the woods.

To help make your choice, think about what your goal is for your photo session.  Do you want photos to frame for a collage on the wall in your house, a nice family photo on canvas, a storyboard, to pass out to friends and family for Christmas, a Christmas card. . . now picture those images in your mind.

Single Child – $35

Sibling’s/Couple – $40

Family – $45

For your 20 minute mini session, you will get 10-15 hand crafted images in your gallery to choose from, a holiday card design, and a digital images sized to share on your favorite social networking site! You may order prints, holiday cards, digital images, or a cd of your session.

For a limited time only, you may order individual high resolution digital images for just $65 each, or a cd of your session for just $250. Included in your digital purchase, you get a print release allowing you to print your images for personal use, including cards.

How do I sign up?

Email me at, or leave a comment,  to save your spot.

*Due to inclement weather, an alternate session will be arranged.  If the weather looks risky, watch my facebook page for cancellation.

Breaking The Rules

This is my third session with a favorite family of mine, and I am breaking the rules. That I set.  On the maximum number of photos that I would post for a sneak peek.  Because I have to.  I can’t choose.  These kids are just too stinking cute.  I am so impressed with how well big brother behaved, listened, and loved on his new little sister.  I think we were able to cross off all the photos that mommy wanted today :)   Congratulation’s Brown’s, you have a lovely family!

  1. Auntie Moma says: Love the pics! What a beautiful family!! Congratulations! Can't wait to hold Miss Brynlee!! Lots of Love!! on 10.8.12 @ 12:59 am
